Editorial Policy

Our editorial work combines hands-on product and service experience with current documentation. We prioritize primary regulatory sources for tax and custody rules, identify provider-supplied claims, date-stamp unstable facts, avoid invented ratings or unsupported claims, and correct material errors when identified. Commercial relationships do not change these sourcing standards.

Source Hierarchy

For tax and IRA rules we prefer IRS material; for investor-risk statements we prefer regulators such as Investor.gov and the CFTC; for provider-specific terms we use the provider's current documentation and label those facts accordingly. Secondary sources may help identify questions but do not override primary material.

Experience And Verification

Hands-on experience informs our editorial perspective, navigation and practical due-diligence questions. Facts that can change—fees, minimums, policies and regulatory requirements—are checked separately so experience is not presented as a substitute for current evidence.
